Job Title Front-end-focused Senior Software Engineer (path to Staff Engineer) Job Description The Tight Embedded Accounting HQ is in Washington, DC, in the renowned Dupont Circle neighborhood, directly across the street from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. We are in our high-energy office 5 days a week, and we’re looking to bring on an A+ Engineering contributor who embraces the opportunity to collaborate with high-trajectory, AI-native teammates in our HQ. Tight's product is growing at a rapid pace, with a recently revamped (and debt-free) architecture focused on React Components and LLM use cases for the future of Agentic Accounting. We’re looking for a teammate who not only embraces the growth but also is excited by the amount of change that comes with that growth. Many financial technology (FinTech) platforms are building products that leverage Tight's Embedded Accounting MCP Server, UIs, APIs and SDKs; over 1.3M users are leveraging said products. This role is focused on Tight's Embeddable React Components. Our front-end frameworks include TypeScript, React, Vite, Panda, TanStack Query, Zustand, Zod, Vitest, and other modern tooling. As a product-led organization, 80% of Tight’s team is composed of engineers, with a rich and ever-evolving AI-centric toolkit. Qualifications The following qualifications whould help build confidence in the ability to grow into the above responsibilities: • 3 to 10 years of experience developing software • Heavy/growing AI curiosity • Engineering background (academic and professional) • Strong writing skills (helpful in writing thoughtful/elaborate prompts) Importantly, at Tight, we are looking to utilize your existing skills to improve our Engineering operation, and then the sky's the limit responsibility/growth-wise based on where your skill development and interests lead.
